About Us

Proudly serving since 1942, the Park Hills Fire Department (PHFD) provides
fire, rescue, and EMS services to the City of Park Hills, Kentucky.

PHFD is staffed during weekdays by two part-time firefighter/EMTs. During the evenings and weekends, all calls for service are answered by volunteer members. The relatively small size of Park Hills allows volunteer members to typically respond from home to the firehouse, gather personal equipment, and respond to emergencies in PHFD apparatus. PHFD currently operates two pumpers, Engine 603 and Engine 601, for response to fire and rescue incidents.

PHFD also provides non-transport EMS first response; arriving with EMTs to administer aid while an ambulance is dispatched from another nearby department for transport.

PHFD protects a population of over 3,000 people and provides mutual aid to neighboring departments, assisting the cities of Fort Wright, Ludlow, Bromley, and Covington.
